“what a man can do, a woman can do better”, is a sentence that cannot align well with the startup market in Nigeria. This could be as a result of the very brutal and insentitive startup industry in the country which female tech startup founders are unlikely to cope with, given their not too rugged nature.

Still yet, there are still some of the female folks who defy all odds and still make their presence felt in the industry. These lots serve as inspiration to their fellow females, and encourage more entrants in the Tech startup world, even though the words ‘technology’ and ‘females’ are not always seen to be used in same sentence.

  1. Very lovely piece. Another upcoming lady in tech is Lisa Onuwabhagbe a young pharmacist. She is the founder of the digital health app “medPlan” a 24/7 Health companion which provides users with all the basic health features one would require in a health app ranging from medication reminder,to doctors appointment reminders, health notes, a health trivia, up to date health information, a health vital monitor..etc all provided in just one app.
She’s also the team led of the annual event called ADIHA (Accelerating digital innovation in healthcare in Africa) which would be launching in 2020. The event aims at providing grants and access to IT development team to exceptional start ups in the field of digital health.
She’s a really great tech icon.
