Apple is working on the development of the next iPhone 12 that will incorporate the A14 Bionic SoC, which will be developed by TSMC with the 5nm process. Now the internet has released a benchmark of Apple’s next SoC which, as the first data show, is swallowing Qualcomm ‘s Snapdragon 865 SoC, which will be integrated into the Android flagship smartphone in 2024.
Specifically, an entry on Geekbench reveals that the American Colossal SoC achieved 1,658 Single-Core points while in Multi-Core tests it reached 4,612 points. In addition, the listing reveals that the A14 Bionic has six cores clocked at 3.1GHz.
Apple’s next SoC was compared to other chipsets such as the Snapdragon 865, which it swallowed. In the case of Qualcomm’s SoC, we get 930 points in the Single-Core test and 3,445 in the Multi-Core test. Note, however, that both the iPhone 12 and the iPhone 9 are expected to receive a slight delay due to the spread of the corona.
