All Firefox Extensions Are Getting Disabled Due To A Glitch & Find The Solution Here

Mozilla Firefox is a free and open source web browser. All the extensions or add-ons of Mozilla Firefox browser has been disabled due to a technical error. This glitch is leading to a pop-up message when someone tries to use an extension. The message is, “Could not be verified for use in Firefox and has been disabled.”

The reason for this error when using an extension on the browser is suggested to be due to the expiration of the code signing certificate of the extensions.

The news of this error on the Mozilla Firefox came into the minds of the people when this issue was reported to the Bugzilla bug tracker. In response, Firefox messaged on their twitter handle that the company is aware of this error and they are working in it to fix it as soon as possible.

  • Tick mark the “Enable add-on debugging” option to allow debugging on extensions.
  • Now Click on “Load Temporary Add-on..”.
  • Go to your Firefox AppData and Click on .xpi files where disabled extensions are stored.
  • Now you can easily manually install the extension on finding it.
  • That’s it, Done.

Note that after applying these settings, do not close or restart your Mozilla Firefox browser if you don’t want the extensions to stop working. This error will get fixed fully by the company’s developers. Comment down below if this method works for you.
