The Amazfit Pace has a good looking design that strikes a balance between sporty and classic which is more than what most smartwatch does. There is a dark ceramic bezel that is both durable and beautiful giving the watch a look of finesse. There is a small physical button on the watch case at the top right edge that serves as a home button and to wake up the device. The button is however inconspicuous and although is a nice thing but proves difficult to locate at times and takes some getting used to to get the hang of it.

The Pace has an LCD touchscreen display which is disabled by pressing the physical button. This is sometimes inconvenient because you have to remember to press the button before you can interact with a notification, start a workout or do anything else on the watch aside from checking the time. There is a 1.34-inch transflective colour display with a 320 x 300 resolution, which is high quality by any standard. Such an impressive display at such price is impressive and is visible indoors even with the backlight off.
