Asus Zenfone 3 Max and Zenfone 3 Laser are two smartphones from Asus with large displays. While the Zenfone 3 Laser comes with a 5.5-inch display, the Zenfone 3 Max features a slightly lower 5.1-inch display.

Going head-to-head on the specs table, the Zenfone 3 Laser seems to have the upper edge over the Zenfone 3 Max. The only aspect the Asus Zenfone 3 Max scores more than the Zen 3 Laser is in the battery capacity. While the Zenfone 3 Laser packs a 3,000mAh battery which isn’t bad, the Zenfone 3 Max packs a 4,100mAh battery under its hood. The Zenfone 3 Max comes with a unique reverse charge feature which enables the smartphone to function as a powerbank and charge other smartphones.

In other aspects, the Asus Zenfone 3 Laser comes with a higher 4GB RAM as against the 3GB on offer on the Zenfone 3 Max. Both smartphones boot Android 6.0 Marshmallow but the Zenfone 3 LAser is embellished with Zen UI3 while the Zenfone 3 Max runs the Zen UI.

Both smartphones are powered by octa-core 64-bit Snapdragon SoC but different models. The Zenfone 3 Max comes equipped with Snapdragon 430 chipset while the Zenfone 3 Max has a Snapdragon 615 chipset under its hood.

Comparing the price of the Zenfone 3 LAser with that of the Zenfone 3 Max, the Zen 3 Laser costs about Rs. 18,999 in India, which is about N92,000 in Nigeria and $284 US Dollars. The Asus Zenfone 3 Max on the other hand is cheaper at Rs. 13499 in India ($202) which is about  N65,000 in Nigeria. The phones are not yet available in the market.
