Asus Zenfone 5 Review – Smooth Multitasking Device

Asus Zenfone 5 is a mid-range smartphone from Asus that isn’t only a sleek multitasking device but also a sharp shooter. The smartphone has a remarkable 13 MP plus 5 MP cameras at its rear for photography functions. The smartphone also doesn’t cost too much although that depends on your pocket. As we’re still on the matter, let’s get into the real deal of the day – Asus Zenfone 5.

Design & Display

As much as design is concerned, the dual rear camera setup and the dual front camera of this smartphone are the main highlights. As regards the dual rear camera setup, it sits comfortably at the top left corner with a LED flash support while the dual front camera are arranged at the top bezel beside the earpiece. The right hand side of the smartphone occupies the traditional volume keys and power button. The fingerprint sensor is mounted close to the dual cameras at the rear while the ASUS logo appears underneath the sensor. Owing Black, Gold, Silver and White colors, the smartphone’s body material consists of aluminium alloy and glass.

The display has a 5.7-inch HD+ display that uses a resolution of 1440 x 720 pixels. The pixel density of the display that controls sharpness is 282 PPI. The screen’s display is protected by the Corning Gorilla Glass. The display has an aspect ratio of 18:9, 2.5D Curved glass and the Eye Care Mode.

Camera

The smartphone’s camera on its rear has a 13 MP primary snapper and a 5 MP sub-snapper for handling the bosh effects. Right in the camera department, the smartphone has a LED flash to brighten up images taken in low light conditions. The front camera of the smartphone has dual 5 MP sensors for taking beautiful selfies. Additional features of the smartphone’s camera are HDR, panorama, face detection, auto focus, touch focus, CMOS sensor and phase detection.

CPU, OS & Storage

Running on the Qualcomm Snapdragon SoC, the smartphone uses an octa-core CPU to power it’s operations. In the graphics department, the main deal is the Qualcomm Adreno GPU. The smartphone multitasks easily with the aid of the 3 GB RAM present while the storage has a 32 GB capacity. The internal storage can be expanded to 128 GB with the aid of a MicroSD card. In the software unit, the main handler is the latest Android Oreo OS.

Battery

Asus Zenfone 5 is powered by a low non-removable Li-Ion 2,500 mAh battery. However, the battery charges very fast as a result of the Qualcomm Quick Charge feature.
