Blackview BV7000 Pro Review, Specs And Price

Blackview is one of the leading figures when it comes to making a rugged smartphone. In recent years the Chinese company has released some rugged smartphones with the last one being the Blackview BV6000. The upgrade is the Blackview BV7000 Pro which came after the Blackview BV6000 S. In comparison to other devices the BV7000 Pro is much more decent looking and as a durable build unlike most smartphones out there.

The Blackview BV7000 Pro is marked by a more elegant design with curves which gives it a better look than the previous devices. It features a decent slim chassis which does not diminish its ruggedness or durability in any way as it still boasts of an IP68 dust and water resistance. Although it might be of concern for some people that a 12.6mm thick smartphone is capable of showing carrying out such durable feats as portrayed by the company.

DESIGN AND DURABILITY

Blackview’s BV7000 Pro is made of a CNC full metal frame like its other previous devices. The BV7000 Pro has a bezel of 3mm opposed to the 6mm bezel in the BV6000. When you look at the back of the device, there are screw visible used to the hold the back plate in place and are about 16 in number. There are rubber flaps at the top and bottom which hides the audio socket and USB port. Also at the back, there is a camera, fingerprint scanner and LED flashlight.

Like many rugged smartphones out there, there is a rubber outer coating material which covers most of the device and even surrounds edges o the display but exposes metal frame at the side. On the front of the device at the bottom bezel there are three capacitive buttons, and at the front, there is the front camera, earpiece, ambient light sensor and LED light indicator.

One of the more beautiful parts of the smartphone is the 5-inch 1920 x 1080 resolution full HD display. That gives a crisp and clear with excellent colour reproduction which makes viewing a lot more nicer experience.

CPU, OS AND STORAGE

The Blackview BV7000 Pro is powered by a MediaTek MT6759T octa-core processor along with an ARM Mali-T880 GPU which is more than enough for gaming without any glitches in between. Also included is a 4GB system memory for multitasking and a 64GB internal memory which for most people is more than enough for storing files and can be expanded up to 128GB using a microSD card.

Just like another device in recent times, the Blackview BV7000 Pro run an Android 7.0 operating system out of the box with some added functionalities. There are some gesture unlocking features which opens a wide range of app just by drawing letters on the sleeping lock screen. This makes getting to an app faster and much more comfortable and if you are the type that loves quick access shortcut, you will definitely like this.

BATTERY AND CAMERA

The battery capacity in the Blackview BV7000 is a 3500mAh which is lower than what was in the BV6000. It had an on-screen time of about 6 hours and about a day and a half on average usage. In addition to that, there is a 13MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera.
