Blackview BV9500 comes with 9180mAh Battery and Android 8.1 Oreo

Blackview BV9500 is now available for order on shopping stores. The device was on showcase at the 2018 Mobile World Congress packing a massive 9180mAh battery. It will be joining the list of BV series of rugged smartphones from Blackview.

The BV series are known for their massive battery capacity and rugged body. The BV9500 flows the trend, with a IP68 certified body, 4GB RAM, 64GB storage, runs on Android 8.1 Oreo with dual rear camera. Lets see what else the Blackview BV9500 has to offer.

Design

This looks totally different from what we typically see on the BV series body. However, it’s made of Polycarbonate, which covers the whole body with a Metal frame finish sides. Apart from the rugged body, the device is IP68 certified as well.

With the IP68 certifications, the phone offers dust, water and shock resistant. It doesn’t just survive underwater alone, it can survive from falls as well, especially from a tall building. At the top middle, we can see the LED flash separating the dual shooters, while the fingerprint scanner is by the side.

The Blackview BV9500 dishes out an 18:9 aspect ratio as well, giving users a more taller display. Even though the entire front is not totally screen, the bezels have been reduced compared to other rugged smartphones.

The 5.7-inch FHD+ IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen displays breathtakingly well. With a resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels and 424 pixel per inch density, everything on the screen should be sharp and clear enough for users. There’s a Corning Gorilla Glass 4 on top as well.

Hardware and Software

The MediaTek Helio P23 MT6763 takes charge here with an octa-core processor and 64-bit CPU architecture. The 8-Cores of processor here reaches a clock speed of 2.0GHz with 16nm process technology. The Mali G71 MP2 graphics processor handles graphics.

The 4GB RAM space here handles all the apps you launch and let you multitask easily with a memory speed of over 1GHz. For storage, 64GB is available as well, you can always upgrade up to 128GB using a memory card. The Blackview BV9500 runs on Android 8.1 Oreo with modified user interface.

Camera

Explore your photography potentials with the dual camera here, there’s a 13MP + 16MP combination at the rear for all your photography needs. The cameras has the usual features, like Portrait mode, Geotagging, Autofocus, HDR, Touch focus, Face detection, Panorama and others. There’s another 13MP shooter at the top bezel for selfies.

Battery

Powering the Blackview BV9500 is a 9180mAh non-removable Li-Po battery with fast charging technology. With the fast charging feature, it shouldn’t take up to 2.7 hours to fully charge up the battery from 0% to 100%.

  1. Got this phone, it is massive,heavy, but incredibly strong! It’s performance and functioning are really good and fast. As a fan of this brand, i know some devices like the bv8000 have their bugs and troubles,but this bv9500 is a really strong phone and won’t disappoint you. The battery lasts long due it’s incredible power. I can really recommend this phone, affordable and is a real better phone than the famous fruity phone…!
