Blu Dash L5 LTE – Review
Dash L5 LTE is a very affordable smartphone from Blu with 4G connectivity. The device is a low range smartphone from Blu, packing specs for extremely light users. With the name you might think this is a flagship smartphone, but its definitely not. Released on the 15th of December 2017, the Blu Dash L5 LTE was made for those on a tight budget.
Design
It looks simple with a plastic cover and portable as well. The dots at the back gives the phone a rugged overall look and feel to it. The rear camera starts the horizontal train at the back with the LED Flash underneath then the Blu logo follows suit. There’s no rear speaker at the back so the speaker should be at the front on the top bezel.
The phone is very fat by the sides compared to recent phones, it measures 10.5 mm slim. But nevertheless the Dash L5 LTE is very comfortable to hold and light as well, weighing 148 grams. The device is only available in black which is pretty weird. I think other bright colors could have done more justice to the smartphone.
Display
I can see three navigation buttons and so many bezels, even the narrow bezels came out to play. Like i said earlier, the speaker is at the top bezel doubling with the call speaker. It also sport a selfie camera and a front flash at the top bezel. Now lets take a thorough look at the screen and see what it offers.
The 5-inch WVGA TFT capacitive touchscreen is pretty basic with 480 x 854 pixels in resolution. With just 196 pixel per inch density, the screen is just there and manageable. For protection, it’s covered with a 2.5D Curved Glass Screen offering scratch resistant. Blu could only reach 64.75% screen to body ratio, leaving room for so many bezels.

Hardware and Software
Dash L5 LTE houses the MediaTek MT6737M chipset with Quad-Core processor. The speed of the processor is disappointingly poor, reaching just 1.1GHz. In terms of graphics, the ARM Mali-T720 MP2 processing unit is doing all the work with 2-Cores. With a graphics processing speed of 550MHz, for your gaming needs.
Multitasking through apps with 1GB of RAM and store all your files in the 8GB internal storage space. The storage space on the Dash L5 LTE can also be upgraded up to 64GB with a memory card. Blu Dash L5 LTE runs smoothly on Android 7.0 Nougat with modified user interface for a nice experience.
Camera
The rear 5MP shooter takes 2K resolution images which is standard for a low ranger. The images can be as high as 2592 x 1944 pixels in dimension with lots of features to use. There’s another 5MP selfie camera at the front with LED Flash as well for taking selfies. With the Dash L5 LTE you can take selfies in low light environment and nightclubs.
Battery
Blu Dash L5 LTE is powered by a 2000mAh removable Li-Ion battery with no fast charging feature. I don’t think you will be needing the feature to quickly charge a 2000mAh battery anyway.
