In this last line of code, you have to enter the font’s name you want to apply in Windows 10. Go to File> Save As. In Save as type, select All files and save the file with any name and extension .reg (for example, MyNewFont.reg or NewFont.reg).

If you don’t like the new font and want to go back to the previous font, start the registry editor again, always typing Regedit in Run ( Windows + R ) or directly in the Windows 10 search bar. The sidebar of Google Fonts, located on the right, allows you to filter different fonts. Check the boxes under Categories to select specific fonts. By clicking on Sorting, you can also decide how to sort the displayed fonts, while on Languages, you can view fonts of a specific language. To intensify the search, you have the options Number of Styles, Thickness, Slant, and Width, which translated means- Number of styles, Thickness, Inclination, and Width. By moving the relative sliders, you can get the font you are looking for.

To download a new font from Google Fonts, press the + button (red) located at the top right and press the black box at the bottom. Press the down arrow symbol and immediately after on Download to save the file in ZIP format, containing the files of the chosen font in the TFF format.

How to install fonts on Windows 10

After downloading a new font, to install Windows 10 fonts, you have to double click on the zipped file to extract the files in .TTF format in a folder.

Then select the downloaded files in .TFF format and click with the right mouse button to select the Cut item from the pop-up menu. Then go to C:\Windows\Fonts and right-click the mouse in a place without icons. Select the Paste item from the pop-up menu to install the fonts downloaded from the web on Windows 10.

Another way to install fonts on Windows 10 is to go to Start> Personalization> Fonts and drag the downloaded font into this window.
