Coolpad Cool 3 Plus launches in India with a starting price of Rs. 5,999 (~$87)

Coolpad has just added to its lineup of devices. The latest addition is the Cool 3 Plus smartphone which comes with a dewdrop notch. The phone comes with a larger RAM and storage capacity compared to its predecessor, the Cool 3. The Cool 3 was released back in February this year.

The Cool 3 Plus with its 13 MP primary lens on the rear and a fingerprint scanner is aimed at a price sensitive mass market. It is expected to face competition from other devices like the Realme C2 and the Redmi 6A given their similarities in specs and price. The main highlights of the Cool 3 Plus are its design, larger battery, and dual 4G support.

In terms of specs, the Coolpad 3 Plus comes with a 5.71-inch IPS LCD screen with a resolution of 720 x 1520p and a pixel density of 295 PPI. It also has a 19:9 aspect ratio. The display is surrounded by bezels on three sides and a slim chin on the bottom. For security, the phone comes with face unlock and a fingerprint scanner mounted on the rear.

The phone comes with a quad-core 2.0 GHz MediaTek Helio A22 CPU in two different memory variants- 2GB of RAM + 16GB of built-in storage and 3GB of RAM + 32GB of built-in storage. It also packs a non-removable 3,000 mAh Li-ion battery.

On the rear, the phone features a single camera setup which is a step down compared to the dual camera setup on the Cool 3. The camera on the rear is a 13 MP AI-powered primary sensor. An 8 MP selfie shooter is mounted on the front with a single-tone flash.

Features on the phone include USB OTG support, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, and light and proximity sensors. It also features dual SIM slots and supports 4G LTE.

The Cool 3 Plus comes with a price tag of Rs. 5,999 (~$87) for the base variant which comes with 2 GB of RAM while the advanced variant comes with a price tag of Rs. 6,499 (~$94). The Cool 3 Plus is an Amazon exclusive and will be available for purchase in India on July 2. It can be purchased in two variant including Cherry Black and Ocean Blue.
