Chinese device manufacturers continue to release interesting devices that can compete with the established brands. Some of them have created a niche for themselves in the low priced tablet PC category. Cube is a Chinese brand that belongs to this group. They continue to produce great devices and at very low prices. The Cube i9 tablet is one of such devices – and that is what I’ll be reviewing in this post.

Design
The Cube i9 Ultrabook is a tablet from the Chinese manufacturer with some really great design. This tablet comes in a sleek and slim package. The material used for the back of the i9 is a Magnesium Alloy for a premium look. The i9 tablet PC comes with a full-sized USB 3.0 port and the new USB 3.1 type-C port. This port allows for faster charging and data transfer speed. There is also a DC charging port included on the Cube i9.
Display
Screen size for the i9 is a 12.2 inch IPS display. The screen resolution stands at 1920 x 1200 pixels with a pixel density 185.59PPI. Cube made sure that the display quality is improved and the image performance increased by using a fast GPU – more on this later.
Memory and Storage
For memory, there is a low-powered 4GB RAM for optimized battery performance. Storage space is 128GB, which is pretty large enough for most users. The 4GB RAM is good enough for multitasking, and allows for a seamless transition between running applications. The 128GB storage can also be expanded via a microSD card of up to 128GB.
Processors
Under the hood of the Cube i9 is a 6th generation Intel Sky Lake Core M3-6Y30 Dual Core CPU at 1.51GHz speed. The CPU can reach a burst/turbo speed of 2.2GHz. For graphics, there is an Intel HD515 graphics processor embedded. This GPU comes with an improved 40% image performance, allowing the user to enjoy their gaming and video viewing sessions.
Software
The Cube i9 tablet PC comes with Windows 10 OS pre-installed. Take your work with you and edit your documents on-the-go. The built-in Edge browser offers a fast and smooth web browsing experience, while virtual assistant Cortana helps you to manage your system. The Windows app store is also available for downloading apps and games for both work and entertainment.
Cameras
As usual, users shouldn’t expect much from tablet cameras. The Cube i9 follows the culture of a 2.0MP front camera and a 5.0MP rear camera as is seen on most tablets. The cameras are good enough for basic photography (but it ends at basic).
Battery
The i9 comes with a non-removable 5000mAh battery that offers about 5 hours of video playback time (according to Cube). For charging, there is an AC adapter rated at 12V/2.5A for a shorter charging time.
