The Dark Mode on the Android messages reduces eye strain by changing the whole colour of the background from white to black. This is particularly good for those who spend a lot of time using the app to text a friend or for those who text mostly at night where reducing the phone’s brightness all the way doesn’t keep the white background from still lightning the screen. It also make the Android messages look cleaner and sharper.

Although some people might not like the idea of the Dark Mode on Android messages but it is still nice that the feature got included. Now, if you don’t like the Dark mode, you can stick to the standard/White mode and if you make the switch to the dark mode, you can still go back if you end up no liking it so there’s that.
