DEXP Ixion Z155 is now officially available for sale on shopping stores after being announced on the 10th of February. The Russian company DEXP made this known on their website, with people already making their orders. The phone is very affordable and focuses on those on a budget.
According to the company, the Ixion Z155 was made for low class individuals and has impressive features. It comes with 2GB RAM, 16GB internal storage, 13MP rear camera and 8MP selfie camera among other quality features. The device retails for a token as well (check below), and everyone should be able to affordable it. Without further ado, meet the DEXP Ixion Z155.
Design
Unlike most budget smartphones, the Ixion Z155 comes with full metal unibody, there’s also a case in the box. It sports dual antenna lines, one at the top and the other at the bottom. The rear speaker is ontop of the lower antenna line, the 3.5 mm jack is now underneath the phone.
The rear camera is on top of the antenna line, as you can see, with the LED flash right beside it. Moving to the sides, the power button is by the right while the volume keys are by the left, just like the iPhone 8. It measures 9.1mm slim which was expected for a budget device, and weighs 195g. Its available in only Blue for now, no words if other colors would be available later on.
Display
It’s not bezel-less, it sports three navigation buttons at the bottom corner. While the top bezel houses the speaker grille, ambient light sensor and selfie camera. This means there’s no fingerprint scanner anywhere on the device which is disheartening.
Focusing on the screen, the 5.5-inch HD IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen boasts of 1280 x 720 pixels in resolution. For intense clarity, it has 267 pixel per inch density. Details on the screen should be clear enough for movies and games, it got up to 67% screen to body ratio.
Hardware and Software
Working from behind is the MediaTek MT6737 chipset with Quad-core processor. The processor on this affordable beauty reaches a clock speed of 1.25 GHz, with a 64-bit CPU architecture. It has a 28nm process technology and an ARM Mali-T720 MP1 graphics processor with a single core.
The graphics processor reaches a maximum speed of 600MHz. While for multitasking, there’s a standard 2GB RAM for smooth multitasking, with a memory speed of 640 MHz. Store all your games, files and apps in the 16GB internal storage space which is upgradeable to 64GB. DEXP Ixion Z155 runs smoothly on Android 7.0 Nougat operating system with modified UI.
Camera
The 13MP rear camera captures 4K resolution images with image dimension reaching up to 4416 x 2939 pixels. Beside the camera is a LED flash that helps in low light environments. Record videos of 1080 pixels at 30 frames per second and take cute selfies with the 8MP selfie camera.
Battery
Powering the DEXP Ixion Z155 up is a 3200mAh Non-removable Li-Ion battery with fast charging technology support. With the feature, it shouldn’t take more than 2 hours to fully charge up the battery.
