Having an inverter is one thing, but knowing how to install it is another. That’s why you need to take this lesson seriously.
Today, we will be installing an LG 1.5kva inverter. But before you get started, here is a list of what you need to do:
- Know the capacity of your inverter and calculate the amount of load to be allocated
- Choose a suitable location
- Ensure you have a power source
- Have a working inverter
- Get sound batteries
Know the capacity of your inverter and calculate the amount of load to be allocated
For the installation of a 1.5kva inverter in a two-bedroom apartment, it is important to understand that the more load allocated to the inverter, the less efficient it becomes relative to time. For example, a 1.5kva inverter with a load capacity of 700w should provide a backup time of 9-12 hours. However, if you allocate a load capacity of 1300w to the same inverter, the backup time will be significantly reduced. It is recommended to allocate a load capacity of 60%.
Choose a Suitable Location
After considering the load capacity, the next step is to select a suitable location. When choosing a location, keep the following in mind:
- Ensure there is free space around the inverter
- Avoid placing it in a moisture or water-prone area
- Keep it away from any hazardous or flammable materials
- Place it in a dry area away from direct sunlight
- Ensure easy accessibility
- Provide proper ventilation for the inverter

How to Install an Inverter Yourself
Installing a 1.5kva inverter is relatively simple as it only requires an inverter and two batteries. Follow these steps:
- Connect the batteries in series by looping the positive and negative terminals with a jumper cable before connecting them to the inverter using a low-resistance cable.
- Place the inverter assembly on top of the main housing chassis, ensuring that the inverter faces forward. Remember to disconnect power at the electricity board meter of your home.
- Connect one end of an electrical cable from the double-pole switch lighting circuit to the provided IEC connector on the rear panel input of the inverter assembly.
- Connect one end of another electrical cable from the load to the provided IEC connector on the rear panel output of the inverter assembly.
- Connect the wiring harness from the batteries to the rear panel input connector of the inverter.
- After completing the connections, turn on the power at the electricity board meter, followed by the double-pole switch lighting circuit. The inverter will automatically switch on.
These instructions should be enough to guide you in installing an inverter within 5 minutes. However, if you are unsure, please feel free to contact us or seek assistance from a professional.
