Design
The BL9000 sure looks like a water resistant smartphone, but its IP certifications could only guarantee splash resistant and shock proof. It’s made of Metal and Leather which gives off a premium and expensive vibe.
On the Metal foundation mounted above, we can see the dual rear cameras in a vertical position with the fingerprint scanner underneath. With a massive battery capacity, the device measures 13.8mm in thickness and weighs 275g overall. There’s one in total Black color and another with Silver touches.
Display
Rugged-like smartphones are coming bezel-less these days, so this isn’t new. The BL9000 dishes out an 18:9 aspect ratio, stretching all the way to the sides for a much taller display in landscape mode. While the top and bottom are very visible obviously.
As expected, there’s a huge 5.99-inch FHD+ IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen which flows with the current trend. The screen boasts of 2160 x 1080 pixels in resolution, with a pixel per inch density of 403. Because if its rugged-like body, the screen could only stretch up to 73% screen to body ratio.

Under the hood, the MediaTek Helio P23 MT6763V chip reigns supreme with Octa-core processor and 64-bit CPU architecture. The 8-Cores of processor here runs at a fast speed of 2.0GHz with 16nm process technology. For graphics, the Arm Mali-G71 MP2 graphics processor comes with 2-Cores and clocks at 700MHz.
Launch all your favourite heavy apps and multitask through them all with 6GB RAM space. The RAM space has a memory speed of 1.6GHz. In terms of storage, 64GB is ready to accommodate all your files, you can upgrade up to 256GB if you can let go of a SIM slot. The Doogee BL9000 runs on Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box.
Camera
The 12MP + 5MP combination of cameras at the rear captures photographs of 4000 x 3000 pixels in dimension. The 12MP shooter is a Sony IMX486 Exmor RS CMOS Sensor has f/2.2 aperture, 1.25um pixel size and 1/2.9 inch sensor size. There’s a dual-LED Flash and other features to help enhance your photography in low light environments. The 8MP selfie camera has f/2.2 aperture, 88 degree wide angle lens and a LED flash as well.

Powering the Doogee BL9000 is a 9000mAh non-removable Li-Po battery with fast charging technology. With the fast charging feature, it shouldn’t take up to 3 hours to fully charge up the battery from 0% to 100%.
