Samsung Galaxy S8 is the first flagship phone of the South Korean company that uses Infinity Display. This is basically a 5.8-inch Super AMOLED display that takes up most of the front of the phone since the design has very minimal frames.

This makes the phone perfect for viewing various multimedia content. Although it is a solid phone, there are cases where certain problems can occur that we will face today. In this installment, we will address the problem with the low volume of the Galaxy S8.
The volume of Samsung Galaxy S8 calls is low
If the call volume is already set to the maximum level, you can still barely hear the call, so you need to check if this is caused by a technical problem in the software. Sometimes after a software update, some problems appear mainly due to old software data that has not been completely removed.
1) Before restoring the Galaxy S8, we start in safe mode and find the culprit
What this step does is rule out the possibility that the cause of the problem is one or some of the installed third-party apps.
When you restart your phone in safe mode, all installed apps are temporarily disabled, so this tells us if it is a problem related to an application or it is a hardware problem. Here’s how to start the phone in diagnostic status:
- Turn off the device.
- Press and hold the power button beyond the model name screen.
- When “SAMSUNG” appears on the screen, release the power button.
- Immediately after releasing the power button, press and hold the Volume down button.
- Continue to hold the Volume down key until the device restarts.
- The safe mode will be displayed in the lower-left corner of the screen.
- Release the Volume down key when you see the safe mode.
Assuming that the volume has improved in this mode, then it is confirmed that the problem is caused by one or some of the third-party apps. Find the culprit and uninstall it, but I know it’s easier said than done.
The best way to completely remove these old software data from the phone is to perform a factory reset. Make sure you back up your phone data before performing the restore.
2) How to restore the Galaxy S8 to factory settings
Then, backup files and data, disable the anti-theft function and proceed with the recovery.
Here’s how to disable the alarm…
- From the Home screen, scroll up to an empty spot to open the taskbar.
- Tap Settings.
- Touch Cloud and account.
- Touch Account.
- Touch Google.
- Touch your Google ID email address if multiple accounts are set up. If you have configured multiple accounts, you will need to repeat these steps for each account.
- Touch the 3-point icon.
- Tap Remove account.
- Touch REMOVE ACCOUNT.
And that’s how you reset your phone…
- Turn off the device.
- Press and hold the Volume up key and the Home key, then press and hold the power key.
- When the Android logo is displayed, release all keys (“System update installation” will be displayed for approximately 30 – 60 seconds before displaying the Android system recovery menu options).
- Press the Volume Down key several times to highlight “erase data / reset to factory settings.
- Press the power button to select.
- Press the Volume Down key until “Yes – clears all user data” is highlighted.
- Press the power button to select and start the main reset.
- When the general recovery is complete, “Restart the system now” is highlighted.
- Press the power button to restart the device.
If the problem persists even after resetting, an error may have occurred with the phone’s internal speaker. You need to have it checked by a technician.
