Samsung Galaxy S8 is the first flagship phone of the South Korean company that uses Infinity Display. This is basically a 5.8-inch Super AMOLED display that takes up most of the front of the phone since the design has very minimal frames.

This makes the phone perfect for viewing various multimedia content. Although it is a solid phone, there are cases where certain problems can occur that we will face today. In this installment, we will address the problem with the low volume of the Galaxy S8.

The volume of Samsung Galaxy S8 calls is low

If the call volume is already set to the maximum level, you can still barely hear the call, so you need to check if this is caused by a technical problem in the software. Sometimes after a software update, some problems appear mainly due to old software data that has not been completely removed.

1) Before restoring the Galaxy S8, we start in safe mode and find the culprit

What this step does is rule out the possibility that the cause of the problem is one or some of the installed third-party apps.

When you restart your phone in safe mode, all installed apps are temporarily disabled, so this tells us if it is a problem related to an application or it is a hardware problem. Here’s how to start the phone in diagnostic status:

  1. Turn off the device.
  2. Press and hold the power button beyond the model name screen.
  3. When “SAMSUNG” appears on the screen, release the power button.
  4. Immediately after releasing the power button, press and hold the Volume down button.
  5. Continue to hold the Volume down key until the device restarts.
  6. The safe mode will be displayed in the lower-left corner of the screen.
  7. Release the Volume down key when you see the safe mode.

Assuming that the volume has improved in this mode, then it is confirmed that the problem is caused by one or some of the third-party apps. Find the culprit and uninstall it, but I know it’s easier said than done.

The best way to completely remove these old software data from the phone is to perform a factory reset. Make sure you back up your phone data before performing the restore.
