Displays in smartphones are the integral things because it is basically the first thing anyone would look at when buying a new phone. Almost 100 percent of the time a person makes use of a mobile device, the eyes will be fixated on the display and will take most of one’s attention because that is where all the drama will start and end. Most people believe that Super AMOLED is the best display for any mobile phone. But now, there are reports that more Android smartphones will embrace the use of Fuild AMOLED displays on their smartphone screen. What will that entail?

What is Fluid AMOLED?
Samsung is the smartphone manufacturer hat has put AMOLED displays on its phones more than any other smartphone manufacturer in the world. The marked its own version of the technology ‘Super AMOLED’. Now, researchers are making use of computational fluid dynamics (CFD) software to optimize coating both in cost and performance for a new solution-coated AMOLED display tech. This will be done in conjunction with chemical vapor deposition or CVD technology. Samsung is making use of short and long-range film-thickness and control uniformity which experts say is commercially viable at large glass sizes. This is the new Fluid AMOLED.
So, it is still AMOLED alright. These kind of displays have been known to provide higher refresh rates than other displays. Secondly, they reduce response rate time and consume significantly less power. Add to that, they also have contrast ratios that are significantly higher than that of LCD displays. One caveat is that viewing AMOLED displays may not be a very smooth task as you have with LCDs because AMOLED has reduced maximum brightness.
What Phones Make Use of Fluid AMOLED?
OnePlus 7T is one phone that has just been released and is said to be ready with Fluid AMOLED. Accordingly, the display features have a Quad HD+ resolution measuring at 3120 x 1440 which massive than anything I have seen in smartphones up till now. Also note that the smartphone manufacturer said that the display is Fluid AMOLED screen that provide support for a 90Hz refresh rate, along HDR10 and HDR10+ content. To me, this is an improvement over Super AMOLED somehow. With the technology seen in OnePlus phones and that company is making it really popular, it appears that Fluid Displays may what flagship phones will boast of.
The Advantages of Fluid AMOLED Displays
Fluid AMOLED displays are just AMOLED to some people who don’t see any superiority over Dynamic or Super AMOLED. Oh well, it could very well have clear advantages over other type of displays as many people agree. Is it just a marketing gimmick? Maybe not.
Both displays are great and they are good to look at as they provide very brilliant display. However, experts believe that Fluid AMOLED has 90Hz refresh rate which higher than what other AMOLED screens have. Experts also claim that this makes for smoother animation but when you look at both screens they are not at all far apart in quality.
So, think of the Samsung Galaxy S10 display as being of a little lower quality than that of OnePlus 7 Pro or 7T.
