General Mobile Discovery
The General Mobile Discovery can be safely said to be the device that General mobile used in transitioning into the smartphone world. The device which was launched in 2013 has specifications of early Android devices and gained quite impressive acceptance.
The General Mobile discovery runs on the the Android Jellybean v4.2 operating system and has a 4.7 inch IPS Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) screen. The display produces beautiful colours and images and this can be attributed in part to its pixel density (312 pixels per inch) and also to its 720 x 1280 pixels resolution. In addition to the great display production, the screen is also rock solid as the Corning Gorilla Glass 2 provides the screen with resistance against scratch and easy shattering.

General Mobile Discovery II
The General Mobile Discovery II is basically an upgrade of the General Mobile Discovery smartphone launched 2 years (in 2015) after the first version. More like a Pro or Plus version. While a few of the specs on the General Mobile Discovery were retained, quite a large number of the specifications of the were upgraded. To start with, the screen size was increased by 0.3 inch to make the Discovery II device a 5 inch device. The Operating system (OS) was upgraded to a more recent Android KiKat v4.4 and also, the device was even somehow made lighter than the first version of the Discovery.
The screen (display) is an HD display with a 1080p resolution and is protected by the third version of the Corning Gorilla Glass (Corning Gorilla Glass 3). This device has a better display quality due to its high pixel density (441 pixel per inch) and resolution. On camera duties are the 13 megapixels rear camera with a LED flash support for brighter images and the secondary 5 megapixels shooter for selfies and video calls and chats.

Like the Genral Mobile Dicovery I, the battery of this device is replaceable but of a higher capacity; 2,500mAh and is also of Li – ion type.

General Mobile Discovery Air
The General Mobile Discovery Air is the middle ground between the General Mobile Discovery I and General Mobile Discovery II. It can also be said to be the trimmed down version of the General Mobile Discovery II. This device runs on the Android 4.4 KitKAt and boasts of a 4.8 inch 720p AMOLED display. The body of the device is made of Aluminium and is available in four colours; Black, Pink, Green, and White.
The main camera is an 8 megapixels shooter with LED flash support, Autofocus, Geo-tagging, High Definition Range (HDR) mode, Panorama and Night mode. The secondary camera is a 5 megapixel shooter for selfies and video calling. There is a 16 GB on-board storage space on this device. Like the General Mobile Discovery II, there is no SD card slot on this device for storage expansion. 16GB is all you get. The 1GB of RAM does well with running several applications simultaneously.
A 2,050mAh battery keeps this device up and running. you can have extra (spare) batteries as the Li – ion battery is removable and can be easily replaced.

General Mobile Discovery Elite
Just like the term “Elite” means superiority in terms of ability and quality, that definition of the term is exactly the reflection of the superiority and seniority of the General Mobile Discovery Elite among other members of the Discovery series.
The General Mobile Discovery Elite is superior in almost all aspects of specifications one can speak of. To start with, the Discovery Eite has the biggest sceen of the Discovery series. The 5.5 inch screen is of high resolution and high pixel density; 1080 x 1920 pixels and 401 pixels per inch respectively. With the big apperance of the device, one would think the General Mobile Discovery Elite would be bulky and heavy. The 152 grams (5.36 oz) however, wrongs that perception. The General Mobile GM 5 is the outcome of the partnership between Google and General Mobile on the Android One project. The General Mobile GM 5 is a pretty affordable device with specifications that are found on high-end and more expensive devices.
