Gionee is in the process of unveiling another powerful mid-range device soon in a ceremony already billed to take place on July 26. Gionee is expected to unveil the Gionee M6, which just made the cut on China’s regulatory agency TENAA and has been certified.
The device was listed with the model number GN8003 and is believed to be the M6 expected to be launched soon.
As usual, the phone’s specifications will be listed on TENAA’s website, and this one shows a promising device is on the way.
The listing reveals the Gionee M6 will sport a 5.5-inch AMOLED touchscreen display with a resolution of 1080pixels. The device is powered by a Snapdragon 652 processor with 4x Cortex-A72 and 4x Cortex-A53 cores. The device also features 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal memory. Surprisingly, there is no microSD slot, so you’ll have to manage with the 32GB storage on board.
The Gionee M6 will boot Android 6.0 Marshmallow from the go and is a dual-SIM phone. The ideal device also features a fingerprint sensor just above the rear camera.
The Android device crams a 13-megapixel camera at the rear and an ample 8-megapixel front facing shooter. Surprisingly again, the M6 does not feature an LED flash at all.
The phone’s chassis is made of metal and lying under the hood is a very generous 5,000mAh battery which makes the device weigh up to 185 grams. The device also measures 152.3 × 75.3 × 8.4 mm.

The price of the Gionee M6 is not yet known, but the device is expected to go on sale immediately it is launched on July 26. The device will sure ship to Nigeria where Gionee has a strong presence and whenever that happens to be sure to visit online retailers Jumia and Konga if you’re interested in buying one. The device is also expected to be available in offline shops as well.
Apart from the M6, Gionee is also expected the unveil the Gionee M6 Plus on that same July 26 but the specs and price of the M6 Plus remain unknown as at this moment. We’ll keep you posted when details of the Gionee M6 Plus surfaces.
