Google Photos gets more news for those with children!

Google Photos has been getting a lot of news. In fact, it is as I say. It is an application that always has so much attention on the part of Google that not even the fact of being paid keeps people away. Now and in a time of confinement, Google Photos has received a novelty that is a marvel for those who have children, nephews or children in the family.

Memories are a very strong component of Google Photos. All because they help us to remember good times. After having gained even more importance in the past when they were placed at the top of the app, now here comes another very interesting feature.

The novelty is called “going out to play”. In practice, it is a collection of memories where the highlights are the smallest ones playing outdoors. In fact, it reminds us of the time when COVID-19 did not yet haunt our lives.

Meanwhile, today users were treated to another novelty.

In practice, it allows the enlargement in videos through gestures. For example, to see details that initially eluded us.

According to a recent post by u / WimpyTeenDude on Reddit, Google Photos allows for this magnification through two gestures. Thus, you can double-tap the video, as you would in the YouTube app, to make the video fill the screen, or you can use the so-called pinch to zoom in or out of the video. The new gestures are being made available through a server-side update, and they are already available to some users in the latest version of Google Photos. However, not everyone still has access.

Interestingly this novelty appears for the first time in version 4.33 of Google Photos. Although it was hidden in the APK, as XDA says.

If you don’t have access to new gestures on your device by now, you can try upgrading to the latest version of Google Photos by following the Play Store link. However, as it is on the server side it is capable of not working. I tried to see if it was already available on my Google Photos on iOS and I still don’t have access to this new feature. So it’s just a matter of waiting.
