In a restricted launch, Google is presently trying out virtual business cards in search results that come up when someone’s name is searched for.

How Can I Create A People Card?
- Simply type in the query “add me to search” and you will be shown the option to create a people card way up on the screen.
Click “Get started” to start creating your card.
- Fill out your information. Click the button to get started and this screen will be visible:
These compulsory fields will be seen first:
- Name
- Location
- About
- Job
Under the compulsory fields, you will see a section of more information that can be added if you want. The fields seen in the screenshot below are not compulsory. You are allowed to add as many or as few as you want.
Google will also allow you to include links to the following social profiles:
- SoundCloud
- YouTube
You will also be able to type in all information manually, except email and phone numbers. Google automatically fills the email and phone number fields with the info in your Google account. The email or phone number cannot be altered on your people card without changing it in your Google account. Of course, you can decide not to display those fields if you would prefer to not share your personal email or phone number.
- After filling out the fields in the second step, you just have to preview the card and then make it go live. As soon as you are happy with how the card looks, simply save it and it will instantly get indexed in search results. To view what it appears like in search results after it goes live, simply look up your name.

Google is yet to comment on when or if this new idea will be available in all countries across the globe, however, you can definitely start to take advantage of it ahead of a broader release. People cards is mostly for businessmen and women, performers, influencers, entrepreneurs, job seekers, freelancers, and everyone who wants to grow his or her presence online.
Google had this to say, “Today, we are solving these challenges with a new feature called people cards. It’s like a virtual visiting card, where you can highlight your existing website or social profiles you want people to visit, plus other information about yourself that you want others to know.”
