Homtom HT50 Low Budget Android Smartphone Review, Specs and Price

In case you were wondering, Homtom is a Chinese company or should I say one of the Chinese companies that have recently found its way into the Nigerian market with the likes of Leagoo, Doogee and Allwin. One thing Chinese tech companies are known for and which you will agree with me is making cheap, affordable and to an extent quality smartphones. The company did not just create an excellent device; the Homtom HT50 is quite pocket-friendly.

The Homtom HT50 has a novel design that catches the eye with beautifully rounded corners that give it that cool, smart look we all know. The back panel is covered by excellent carbon material that has a nice texture and provides a more nice grip. The real deal here is the battery life of about 5500mAh that ensure long-lasting usage and a degree of independence from your power bank. Even with the enormous battery, it manages to maintain a super slim design with the height of only 8.9mm.

The stylish appearance agreeably soothing to touch and maintains that fashionable look. It has a TFT-panel and an HD display as a result of the built-in IPS technology. The 5.5-inch screen has 1280 × 720 screen resolution with a pixel density of 267 PPI. The display is bright enough with vibrant colours that allow you to see with clarity even under direct sunlight.

A MediaTek MTK6737 processor powers the phablet alongside a RAM of 3GB and Mali T720MP2 graphics adapter. This offers Hd resolution which is necessary for the smooth running of some applications, especially for game lovers. The built-in 32GB gives you enough memory to store music, videos and more but can also be supplemented with a MicroSD card.

The Homtom HT50 has a size of 156.5 × 78.5mm with three touchscreen buttons on the screen. It features a 13.0 MP primary camera that captures a decent picture for a smartphone in its price range. A LED flashlight also flanks the back camera for taking pictures in low light places.

It is powered by the latest Android 7.0 Nougat operating system and a split screen mode that allows you to run apps side by side. It also features a dual sim slot for micro and nano sims respectively running 4G LTE connectivity. Talking about connectivity, there supports Bluetooth 4.0 and also equipped with GPS. The sensors feature here are; an accelerometer, light sensor, fingerprint scanner and proximity sensor.

  1. Thank you for this information but please try and review your article before publishing, you initially said that this phone features 13.0MP primary camera and on the General Information, you said that the primary camera is 8.0MP. Which one now will i believe? Well, i refuse to be confused by you.
