Honor 8X will land in Europe on 11 October

Last week, Honor announced two new smartphones in China: Honor 8X and Honor 8X Max. From the moment of the presentation, Huawei’s sub-brand fans began to wonder when both phones would be released in other countries. Well, yesterday there was good news for all those who live in Europe.

Honor has indeed announced that the Honor 8X will arrive in the Czech Republic on October 11th. The launch will take place in Prague. At the moment there is no information on the biggest and most powerful Honor 8X Max, but it is likely that the brand will give news about it in the coming days.

The Honor 8X has a 6.5-inch display with a resolution of 1080 x 2340. It is the first smartphone in the world to have obtained the TUV Rheinland certification for the displays. The certification is assigned to flicker-free displays, with reduced glare and low blue light.

To power the Honor 8X we find the new Kirin 710, combined with 4 GB / 6 GB of RAM. 64 GB / 128 GB of storage space is available with support for expansion via a dedicated MicroSD card slot. On the back of the phone is a double 20MP + 2MP camera, while on the front, inside the “notch”, is instead placed a 16MP camera.

The phone runs EMUI 8.1 based on Android 8.1 Oreo and is equipped with a 3750mAh battery (without fast charge). The device is also equipped with a Turbo GPU and a fingerprint sensor mounted on the back side.

The Honor 8X has an initial price of $ 177 (about € 152) for the 4GB RAM version, while the 6GB RAM model with 128GB of storage is sold for $ 240 (about € 206.50). Honor should keep roughly the same price in Europe as well. The Honor 7X was launched at 299 euros last year, but the sub-brand of Huawei had to propose a lower figure for the Honor 8X, as the POCOPHONE F1 (with superior features) is sold in European markets at 330 euros.
