Huawei’s online-only subsidiary, Honor, has continued to maintain its competitiveness online. With the launch of several top-notch devices this year already with over two flagship devices, the Honor series isn’t looking like it would be taking its foot of the gas soon. Alongside the Honor 7X, it launched the Honor WaterPlay tablet, keeping Huawei very much alive in the tablet business.

Display & Design
The Honor WaterPlay has a large 10.1-inch QXGA display that flaunts a crystal clear 1920 by 1200 pixels of resolution with multi-touch support. On the design front, the name already tips a water-resistant metal-clad design with an IP67 rating, that is the WaterPlay can survive in up to 3.3 feet of water for as long as 30minutes. The physical Home button also serves its fingerprint sensor. The Honor Waterplay is 7.8mm thick and weighs 465g.
Storage & Processor
The WaterPlay comes in two variants; a 3GB RAM and 32GB ROM model and a 4GB RAM and 64GB ROM model, both variants to run on an octa-core Kirin 659 SoC which comprises a 2.36GHz quad-core cluster and another 1.7GHz quad-core cluster. It supports expandable storage using a microSD card.
Camera
The tablet boasts an 8MP rear camera with a front-facing camera.
Tablets always do it big when it comes to battery capacity and that’s their selling point. With that in mind, the WaterPlay tablet is backed by a massive 6600mAh battery plus fast charging support. Connectivity options include; Bluetooth 4.1, WiFi 802.11 ac(2.4GHz + 5GHz), GPS, USB Type-C, fingerprint sensor, 4G LTE(optional).
Software
Honor WaterPlay runs on Huawei’s custom EMUI 5.1 out of the box based on Android’s Nougat 7.0 Operating System..
Availability and Price of Huawei Honor WaterPlay in China & India
The Honor WaterPlay is priced at 1999 Yuan for the 3GB RAM (Wi-Fi only) variant, 2399 Yuan for the 4GB RAM(Wi-Fi only) variant and 2699 Yuan for the 4GB RAM plus LTE version. It is available in China.
