How To Access The Dark Web From Your Computer

The internet is a way, way bigger place than you’ve probably imagined
Facebook, Google and the regular websites we visit daily are a tiny corner of the internet, the Dark Web and the Deep Web loom in much shadier corners.

What is the Dark Web?
The Dark Web is a term used to refer to websites, networks, and database that exist on an encrypted network and cannot be found by using the regular search engines and browsers. In most cases, because the properties contain specific information that few people will want because the data is private or simply for technical reasons.

How to get on the Dark Web
Gaining access to the dark web is not a complicated process. There are specific browsers designed for this. Tor is the most widely used browser; TOR is a version of the popular Firefox web browser, modified to allow users to browse the dark web anonymously. Go to www.torproject.org and download the Tor Browser Bundle, which contains all the required tools; the Control Panel will automatically handle the extraction & network setup and, when Tor is ready, the browser will open.

Surfing the Dark Web: Using your preferred search engine; Torch, duckduckgo, notevil, virtual library, you can browse the Dark Web as you please; just remember to avoid suspicious links or websites, and never download or open files found on the Dark Web.

Note– Dark web is a very shady place to surf in, I recommend that you place tape over your laptop’s webcam to prevent prying eyes watching you.

  • Avoid using a Windows operating system to access the Dark Web. Most Windows operating systems still contains security flaws that make it vulnerable to hacking or virus attacks while browsing the Dark Web.
Linux is a much more strongly and safer operating system if you plan to visit the Dark Web.
  • Make sure to close any currently open browser. This ensures that no private information from your previous browsing sessions will be available when you connect to your encrypted browser.
  • If you’re using the Tor browser, make sure you change your Tor security settings. On the Tor home page, click the onion icon in the upper-left side of the page, then drag the slider all the way up to the top. This will ensure that tracking scripts and other forms of browser monitoring cannot be loaded.
