In our post today we talk about how to improve the sound quality of your LG G Flex. An XDA member aznrice2k4 has come up with an amazing trick to activate Dolby equalizer on LG G Flex. Its audio mod for the device involves modifying the music system configuration file to activate the Dolby Digital Plus equalizer which lies hidden by default. Hence, it is clear that you need to have root privileges on your LG G Flex. If you have not yet rotated the phone, you can do it by following our simple tutorial:
Root LG G Flex and install CWM recovery
Also with root access, you will also need a root file browser. The Root Browser application is recommended:
- Google Play Root Browser
- Developer- JRummy Apps Inc.
- Price- Free
Now, here’s how you can enable Dolby equalizer in applications like music and video player on your LG G Flex:
- Open Root Browser.
- Switch to the / etc system.
- Look for a file called com.lge.music.xml and open it.
- Now edit the strings as shown in the screenshot below:
- After changing the codes, save the changes and return.
- Now search for com.lge.videoplayer.xml and open it.
- Make changes to this file, as shown in the screenshot below:
- Again, save your changes and exit Root Browser.
- Reboot the device.
When your LG G Flex has powered on, keep the music player open. Now you should see the Dolby Digital Plus mode activated in the list of equalizers.
Select the Dolby preset equalizer and start listening to the amazing sound quality. When viewing videos, select Cinema Sound. Try the m0d and don’t forget to share your experience with us. Cheers!
