You already know WhatsApp and how it allows users to send and receive messages, media like pictures, videos, voice notes, and so on. However, if you are not aware, WhatsApp also lets users block images from automatic download or download on request. Meaning, if there is a specific chat with images or clips you do not wish to save to your gallery, you can simply block from such contacts without the account owner suspecting. You do not even have to block the contact on your WhatsApp to avoid downloading the media they keep sharing with you. See How To Block Media On WhatsApp Contacts Without Them Knowing:

How To Access Blocked Media On WhatsApp Contacts?
Like I wrote earlier, blocked media from the contact will be available on your WhatsApp, but how you access it? It is simple. When WhatsApp blocked the media from downloading to your phone’s gallery, the messaging platform kept the media on your WhatsApp account database and will be accessible whenever you want, as long as the contact has not been deleted or blocked.
Therefore, if you backed up your WhatsApp chat, do this:
- Open the WhatsApp application.
- Tap “Contact Name” to see its downloaded media.
- Tap “Contact Name” once more before the video and voice call label.
- Tap “Media, links, and docs.”
- All downloaded media would be visible under “Media.”
That is that.
