How To Change Google Chrome Language

A lot of people don’t know that they can actually change Google chrome language to almost any language they want. In this guide, we will be showing you how to do just that.

The Google Chrome browser needs no introduction as it is widely known and used by Mobile and PC users all over the world. On the Google play store alone, it has amassed over than 1 Billion downloads with somewhat same figures on iOS and PC platform. It is use and love by almost every Android users which I am happily one of. It also comes pre-loaded on almost every Android device as the official browser which most times cannot be Uninstalled.

There are a lot of reasons as to why a lot of people, especially Android users prefer Google Chrome browser to other browsers. And we are about to add another reason with the ability to change language on Google Chrome. You can also add any language you want from their language library which I must say has a lot of languages. Can’t even believe they have Igbo and Yoruba which are native languages in Nigeria.

Without further ado, Let us get right down to it so you can maybe change the language of your Google Chrome browser and use it in your native language as well.

How To Change Google Chrome Language

Changing Google Chrome language is pretty easy, and you have to download or Install any plug-in or software for this to work.

For Google Chrome On PC.

  • Open your Google Chrome Browser and Click on the Three Dots at the top right side of your screen.
  • Select Settings from the drop-down menu.

  • Scroll down and Select Advanced.

  • Tap on Languages.

  • Choose your preferred language from their huge library of languages and Save. That’s pretty much it. Your Google Chrome browser is now in the new language you selected.

If you would also want Google Chrome to offer the translation of pages that are not in your preferred languages, then you can turn it on with the Toggle below the Languages.

For Google Chrome on Mobile (Android & iOS)

  • Launch your Chrome App and Click on the Three Dots at the top right side of the screen.
  • Click on Setting from the drop-down menu.

  • Tap Languages and Select Add.

  • Choose your preferred language from the list of languages to add it to Chrome.

  • There is also a translation toggle just in case you are interested in that. You can also turn it off if you want.

    If you would like to revert to English language at a later time on both the Google Chrome browser for PC and Mobile, then you can simply follow that Above steps. But instead of Choosing a new language in the Language option, you’ll Select the already pre-loaded English language.
