How to stop the automatic loading of YouTube in HD
You can change YouTube playback settings from the YouTube Settings page.
- To access the page, click on your name or the arrow in the upper right corner of the page and click on the “YouTube settings” link.
- View all settings related to playback by clicking on the “Playback” tab.
- By default, the option “Always choose the best quality for my connection and player size” is enabled. This means that all YouTube videos will be uploaded in HD if you have a good Internet connection.
- To disable HD on YouTube, enable the option “I have a slow connection. Never play higher-quality videos. ” Save your changes by clicking on the “Save” button. The changes are applied immediately.
