How to download TikTok videos on Android

Do you need to download TikTok videos on Android? You are in the right place. The TikTok app is becoming increasingly popular, with millions of users sharing funny videos on this platform every day. With so many fun content, it can become difficult to track and remember every video you see. That’s why you might want to download TikTok videos on Android, so you can watch it later or watch it with your friends.

To prevent this from happening, you can download your favorite TikTok videos on your Android device to review them later. This article will guide you through three different methods on how to download TikTok videos.

What is TikTok?

What is TikTok (also known as Douyin in China) is today one of the most popular and particularly interesting social media applications of the moment. It allows users to create and share short videos along with songs, effects or audio clips, all in a synchronized environment.

Through this tutorial we will see how to download TikTok videos on Android, even those that are not allowed to download.

I state that the authors are the only owners of their videos. Any unauthorized downloading of content and / or violation of intellectual property rights is the sole responsibility of the user.

Download videos directly from the app

The TikTok app allows users to download videos to their device’s internal memory. That said, you can only download videos of users who have enabled the “save” option in the public settings.

If the user disables this option and makes the profile private, you will not find the “Save video” button. The only way to find out is to try and download the video directly. Here’s how:

  1. Launch the TikTok app on your Android device.
  2. Select the desired video.
  3. Touch the “Share” icon on the right side of the screen.
  4. Look for the “Save Video” option. If you can’t find it, the user sets the profile to private.
  5. Tap “Save Video” if you see it.

Go on. If you use TikTok, you can choose who can download your videos. This first method is therefore based on the application itself and through which it is possible to download only the videos whose authors have allowed users to download. I’m talking about videos with free downloads.

To download a video with free download, it’s very simple, choose the video to download, in the video menu tap Share and then choose Save Video in the submenu and the video will be downloaded to your device.

Or to do it earlier, touch and hold the video and choose Save Video and it will be automatically downloaded to your phone. However, if you don’t see the Save Video option, keep in mind that the author of the video doesn’t want you to download it. To work around this limit, use methods 2 or 3.

The video will be stored in your Android gallery on the TikTok album. The main disadvantage of the direct download option is that the TikTok watermark will remain on the video when you download it. You can download a video without the watermark, but you need to use a third-party app. Read the following section to learn more.

How to download TikTok videos on Android via TikTok Downloader

To get started, download and install the TikTok Downloader app from the Play Store. TikTok Downloader is a free application that integrates seamlessly with the Android sharing menu so you can quickly download a video.

How to download TikTok videos on Android via TopSaver

This method is similar to the second and is proposed as an alternative to this. It is also based on a third-party application, TopSaver, which can be downloaded from the Play Store.

Like TikTok Downloader, TopSaver also integrates with the Android sharing menu so you can instantly download a video. To do this, on the video tap Share, in the submenu that appears, choose Other.

In the Android sharing menu, choose TopSaver, once the application is open, tap SAVE VIDEO to download the video. You can also copy the video link and paste it into the application to start the download.

In addition to downloading videos from the app, TopSaver also allows you to save some elements of the video as the image in the foreground, hashtags or even copy the text description.

With these three methods, it is now very easy to download any video from the TikTok social network that is gaining popularity day after day.

Attention with the downloaded videos

As you can see, everyone can download TikTok videos even if you manage your profile as a private one. Thanks to third-party apps, your videos could end up in the internal memory of any device despite your settings.

You should always be careful that some content may be subject to abuse. Therefore, think twice before uploading a video to avoid any inconvenient situation. What kind of videos do you like on TikTok? Save them for a laugh?
