Facebook is a top global social networking website that is seen as one of the Big Four tech companies across the globe, alongside Amazon, Apple, and Google. The social networking site is so popular that it has even proven its desire to remain for long by acquiring Instagram, WhatsApp, and Oculus.
As if that is not enough for fans of the platform, Facebook is currently testing dark mode for its official iPhone and Android applications, and fans cannot wait. However, the feature is yet to appear on its mobile applications, despite both its site and Facebook Lite application providing the option of a dark mode.
Facebook itself has not officially announced the release of dark mode to iOS and Android users, but popular reliable leaker, Jane Manchun Wong, and Facebook’s technology communications manager, Alexandru Voica, recently disclosed that dark mode was being publicly tested on Twitter in a collaborative clip.
Some users are already enjoying this new mode on their devices, however, no one knows the criteria for having the feature enabled on a phone right now. To break down to have it enabled if it is on your device, see How To Enable Facebook Dark Mode On Your iPhone And Android:

How Can I Enable Facebook Dark Mode On My iPhone And Android?
- Launch the Facebook application on your iOS or Android phone.
- Ensure you have the most recent version of Facebook.
- Click on the 3 lines in the bottom right corner.
- Swipe down to “Settings & Privacy.”
- Activate Dark Mode.
If the dark mode feature is available on your phone, it will be visible between “Your Time on Facebook” and “App Language”. If it is not there, exercise some patience, as we expect Facebook to cover more users in weeks to come.
Since the Facebook user interface (UI) was upgraded and because Dark Mode is a popular choice for applications, it is sensible for Facebook to launch the new feature. Be aware that while switching from light mode to dark mode on the platform, the setting changes across the board. All changes, including Messenger, will feature the dark UI automatically.
