The new iOS 12 comes with a lot of new features and hidden ones as well. One of these hidden features is Automatic Update. This features updates your iPhone or iPad automatically overnight, when it is not in use, charging and connected to Wi-Fi. If you love your iOS device being up to date, this feature is for you.

If you are like me, Automatic Updates is not something you would enable on your iOS device.
Before you activate this feature, you need to note that new iOS updates usually come with bugs at first. As such, it might be wise to wait a week or two before you try out new updates.
This feature isn’t enabled by default. So if you wish to enable Automatic Updates or you just wanted to try it out, and now you wish to disable it, follow the steps below.
- First off, launch the Settings app on your iOS device.
- Next up, tap on General and then tap on Software Update.
- Now, you should see the Automatic Updates option. Tap on it.
- On the screen that appears next, you can toggle on/off the switch to enable/disable the feature on your device.
