How To Enable Or Disable Samsung Galaxy Note 9 Proximity Sensor?

The Samsung Galaxy Note 9 is an Android tab smartphone designed by Samsung Electronics as part of the Samsung Galaxy Note series. It was launched on the 9th of August last year, as the device to replace the Samsung Galaxy Note 8.

The Note 9 comes with a 6.4 inch 1440p Super AMOLED display with an 18.5:9 aspect ratio. The design on the front is the same as the one on the Note 8, using an “Infinity Display” as marketed by Samsung.

It possesses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC in the U.S. and China or a Samsung Exynos 9810 SoC outside the U.S. & China. The device has 128 or 512 GB storage options. The 128 GB model has 6 GB of RAM while the 512 GB has 8 GB of RAM. Every model will come with a microSD card slot too, taking the device’s storage to almost a Terabyte of data.

It also has IP68 water & dust resistance and a USB-C connector that aids Samsung DeX without a dock. The device comes with a 3.5 mm headphone jack and AKG tuned stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support.

How To Turn Proximity Sensor On/Off On Your Samsung Galaxy Note 9?

Right now, there is no popular method to disable the proximity sensor for this particular device. However, there are known methods for older Samsung devices. You can use the same method and confirm if it still gets the job done.

Cases, covers and improperly installed screen protectors can tamper with proximity sensor function. The proximity sensor knows when a user is holding the device close to his or her face when they are receiving a call and disables the display to prevent keypad presses and battery consumption from the screen.

The suggestions you see below will only work on these Samsung devices:
