How to enable spatial audio on AirPods Pro

AirPods Pro never stop updating and adding new features available exclusively with Apple devices. Among the most interesting there is certainly the spatial audio or a sort of more immersive 3D mode that can be activated when viewing movies and TV series. In this guide, we will therefore go to see how to activate or deactivate it in any situation, or only in a few moments.

Turn spatial audio on or off

The experience that AirPods Pro with spatial audio can convey is something truly unique. However, not everyone wants to use it as the primary method for viewing content via Apple devices.

Turn spatial audio on or off when watching content

Like almost all quick settings, even the one related to spatial audio can be managed directly from the control center of iOS. This option can certainly be useful to activate or deactivate it more immediately when viewing content.

  • Connect AirPods Pro to iPhone or iPad
  • Access the control center by swiping from top to bottom from the top right corner (or bottom frame to top on iPhones with Touch ID)
  • Press and hold on the software volume rocker briefly
  • Disable the Spatial Audio option

Turn spatial audio on or off for all content

If, on the other hand, you want to remove the function from the control center (obviously it can also be reactivated) in order to always have it deactivated, you will have to go through the system settings.

  • Connect AirPods Pro to iPhone or iPad
  • Open the “Settings” app on the iPhone or iPad
  • Click on “Bluetooth”
  • Continue with the “i” to the right of the AirPods Pro name
  • Turn off (or turn off) the spatial audio toggle
