How to enable USB debugging and development options on Android 4.2 and above, if you have an Android device running Android 4.2 and above you may be wondering where the developer-specific options went.
To enable/configure most customizations, you need to enable USB debugging on your phone. In all previous versions of Android, you can simply go to the settings menu then to the developer options submenu and enable USB debugging.
But in the latest Android versions, Google has hidden development options from people with little experience to keep them from breaking their devices.
However if you were trying to figure out how to enable USB debugging, look no further. Here are the steps to enable the options for developers on your phone.
How to enable USB debugging and development options on Android 4.2 and above
- Go to the Device Settings menu.
- Then go to the sub-menu. On some devices, the submenu is called “Other” or “General”. On other “HTC” devices you have to go to Settings> chi> Software> Other.
- Now scroll down to “Build Number” or “Build Number” and touch 7 times.
- After touching 7 times you will see a warning that says “You are now a developer” or that “Developer mode has been activated”.
- Now go to the Settings menu, you can see the developer options sub-menu.
- Touch the developer options and then enable USB debugging.
Have you finished. I hope I have helped you.
