We will be outlining the steps to take in order to live stream or go live on YouTube. YouTube is a household name that does not need any introduction. If you do not know about YouTube then you might as well be living under a rock.

The social networking giant, YouTube now has the Go Live feature on their mobile app for both the Android and iOS. Joining others like Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat and the rest. YouTube did not always have the live streaming feature and even when they eventually did, it took a lot of work to get to where it is now.

Go live on YouTube

YouTube first released the live streaming feature on their platform sometime in 2011. Even then, only a selected few could live streaming or Go Live on their respective channels. Fast forward to 2017, everyone could live stream provided they have up to 10,000 subscribers on their channel.

Of course people with lower subscribers were not happy with this new development and stated their displeasure. After much consideration by YouTube, they reduced the requirement to just 1000 subscribers needed to live stream. Before finally opening it for all, including those without a single subscriber. Although, i do not really see the point for the latter.
