There are many reasons why someone might want to hide last seen on Facebook chat in Google Chrome or Firefox. Privacy is a very sensitive subject matter which I’m sure the owner of Facebook – Mark Zuckerberg takes very seriously these days. Especially after the recent happenings with Cambridge analytical.

Even after that whole saga, there is still no way to hide last seen on Facebook chat in Google or Firefox till now without using a plug-in. You would think something as important as not wanting others to see your last seen would have been made available on Facebook itself and not going through a plug-in. Maybe Facebook needs to look into this and make sure this Option is added to their site.

Some people take their privacy seriously while others don’t care if their last seen is seen or not. If you take your privacy Seriously and would like to keep your last seen on your Facebook chat to yourself. Then you would have to make do with Plug-ins until Facebook decides to add an option for it on their website.
