Nowadays, having multiple accounts on social media platforms is extremely common. Of course, doing so necessitates logging out of one and into another, which can be a hassle. But just like Twitter, Instagram allows you to switch accounts by tapping on the one you want to sign in with.
This article will show you how to add multiple accounts to a single mobile application so you can easily manage them. You can only set it up on the Instagram mobile app, but here’s how to connect multiple Instagram accounts on one device.
THE GUIDE IN BRIEF
To link Instagram accounts, go to the mobile app and account settings. Scroll down until you find Meta Account Center and tap on the item Add account -> Log in to existing account. After logging into the second account, it will appear in an account dropdown menu. Tap the account you want to access to switch it on the fly.
How to connect two Instagram accounts
First, tap on the three horizontal lines in the upper right corner. This will open a menu where you will have to select the Settings item.
Scroll down to the bottom of the page where it says Meta Account Center. Below that is an option that directs Add Account. Click on that item.
A pop-up at the bottom of the screen will offer you to log into an existing account or proceed with creating a new account (which will also be linked to the first account). Assuming you already have a second account, choose the first option and you will be taken to the usual Instagram login page where you need to log in with your credentials.
Once logged in, you will be directed to the second linked account. You will now see a down arrow next to your username. If you tap it, you will be taken to the list of your connected accounts on the same application.
Here you will be able to see all your Instagram accounts that you have linked together with the main account. At a glance, you will see that new messages, followers, and likes are waiting for you on each account. Tapping on an account will instantly take you in. There is also a shortcut link at the bottom of the menu if you want to link other accounts by clicking the + button at the bottom.
When you post to a connected Instagram account, you’ll now see a new section on the posting page. You can now cross-post to more than one of your Instagram accounts instantly. This is extremely useful if you are an influencer and need to put the same image on multiple accounts. This will save you time.
