Unfortunately, starting August 29, 2019, you will have to be on the Apple Music beta, which you can join here on Android, or you can wait for the official v3.0 of the application to launch this fall. It is not clear if iOS users will also receive Chromecast support, but if they do, it should arrive with iOS on September 13th.

USING THE BLUETOOTH

Google Home is compatible with several music service providers. Obviously on YouTube, Chromecast, Deezer, Spotify, TuneIn, Netflix, Polk and Raumfeld are all audio partners of Google. Apple is not mentioned. Fortunately, through the magic of Bluetooth you can make them work together.

To make this work, you need an iPhone or at least a subscription to Apple Music and a Google Home. I describe the use of an iPhone but you can of course use any Apple device with Bluetooth.

  1. Enable Bluetooth on your iPhone and Google Home.
  2. Open the Google app and select Devices.
