How to do with a Samsung Galaxy J3 that does not turn on
There is no guarantee that the problem will be solved, but it is essential to perform troubleshooting to determine the cause or reason behind the phone’s refusal to turn back on.
1) Try to force the device to restart
Firmware plays an important role in this process. The system is actually the one that allows the current to flow through the circuits and into the battery. If the firmware crashes abnormally and no longer responds, recharging would also be impossible.
To force the phone to restart, simply remove the back cover and then remove the battery. Now, to make this procedure even more effective, hold down the power button for one minute while the battery is not connected to the device. This will discharge the stored electricity into the capacitors, thus, refreshing the phone’s memory.
After pressing and holding the power button for one minute, replace the battery and then the back cover. Try turning on the phone. If it turns on, the problem has been solved, otherwise, we could be dealing with a malfunctioning firmware or a hardware problem.
2) Charge the phone
If the phone still does not turn on after the forced restart, even with the battery extraction procedure, try to connect the phone to charge it because maybe the battery is completely discharged, which is why the phone is not able to turn on all the components.
Apart from the obvious reason, charging the device will also give you an idea if the problem is caused by a hardware or firmware problem. If it is a hardware problem, the device may not display the normal charging icon on the screen and/or the LED indicator will not turn on.
Allow the device to charge for a few minutes, regardless of whether the recharge marks are displayed or not. Next, try turning the phone back on.

- Press and hold the power button over the screen with the device name.
- When ‘SAMSUNG’ appears on the screen, release the power button.
- Immediately after releasing the power button, press and hold the Volume down button.
