How Can I Inline Reply In Messages On My iPhone?
- Launch the Messages application on your iPhone and open a conversation.
- Click and hold the message you wish to reply to. Hold it until the pop-up menu is visible.
- Click “Reply.”
- Enter your message and send it.

The replies appear in two places within your conversation:
- If you swipe to the location in the convo where you replied, the number of replies on that message will be visible. Simply click it to expand the text and keep replying.
- The reply will also be visible way down on the conversation, therefore you can reply it without needing to swipe back up to locate it. A gray bracket indicates the reply.

Apart from sending inline replies from time to time, you can remain connected to the conversations that you really care about on your phone whenever you want. All iOS users are allowed to send SMSes, pictures, clips while also customizing their messages with animated effects, pinning vital convos, and adding mentions.
How Can I Reply From The Lock Screen?
- From the Lock screen, simply touch and hold the notification that you wish to reply to. Or depending on your phone, you might have to scroll left over the notification and click “View.”
- Enter your message.
- Click “Send.”

To save an attachment outside of Messages, click the attachment, click “Share,” then choose an option like “Save Image” or “Save to Files.” When you click “Save Image,” it immediately saves it to your Photos app.
