1.  Get yourself logged into your Google account, then enter “https://hangouts.google.com/” into the browser bar at the top of the display.
2. Tap through the intro display till you reach your Hangouts homepage, which will reveal a list of any ongoing chats on the left and will provide you 3 options in the center of the page, these options are “Video Call,” “Phone Call,” and “Message.”
3. Tap your preferred option, then enter the phone number to call, or the contact you wish to video chat or message into the search bar that is seen on the top left corner of the display. (if you are trying to contact anyone that is not a contact, enter their email address.)
4. If you need to message various people simultaneously, rather than typing in the contact to text, tap “New group” and then type in the several contact names, emails, or phone numbers.

1. Get the Google Hangouts application downloaded and launch it on your device.
2. Let the app access your Google account.
3. Click “+” in the green circle at the bottom right corner of the display.
4. Enter the contact you want to reach out to, or tap “New group” to include several people.
5. Begin a text chat, or tap the camera icon for a video call or the phone icon for a phone call.
