- When you click “Share ETA,” Apple Maps will reveal your 5 most recent contacts. Click any of them to share your ETA with that individual. Your ETA can only be shared with one person at a time.
- If you wish to share your ETA with somebody who is not your 5 most recent contacts, click “Contacts” to search for the person. Click the contact on the list to begin to share.
- As sharing is activated, you will be notified way down on your screen that it is enabled. You will also be shown the number of people you have shared with.
- The icon of every individual you are sharing with will show a blue ring around it in the Share ETA screen. If you want to stop sharing with somebody, just click their icon to end sharing.

There are a lot of restrictions on sharing your ETA in Apple’s Maps app. You have to be a regular user of the app for navigation. It only gets the job done for driving direction, so there is no ETA feature for walking, transit or bikes.
