Sounds issues in Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL might seem like deja vu for those who upgraded to the smartphone from the Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL, given that the same problem occurred on the latter device last year. After a phone is released, more often than not, it gets trailed by a series of software related issues, and sometimes, hardware issues. The software issues are often not that much of a problem as it can most times be fixed via a software update that gets pushed out to the affected devices when a fix for the issue has been found. Hardware issues, on the other hand, require a full phone replacement which is why smartphone makers try as much as possible to avoid as it would lead to a huge loss.
Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL have been out for a while now and the issues have started popping up, There was the fingerprint issue, the display issue, connectivity issue and now the sound issue. Users of the Google Pixel 3 XL are reportedly having sounds issues, particularly a low buzzing or static noise even when the volume has been lowered. This sounds issues seems to be affecting only some of the Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL. However, some users of the Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL who were experiencing the sound issues have reported that the issue has gone away while some others whose sound issues persisted had to get a replacement. How to Solve Sound Issues in Google Pixel 3 and 3 XL
There hasn’t been a sure fix for the problem yet. However, you can try the solution that fixed the problem on last year’s Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL devices which involve going to your Settings Menu >> Connected Devices >> Turn off NFC. For some reason, this worked on the Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL and is definitely worth the try. If after trying that and the problem still persists then you’d be happy to know that Google is reportedly working on an update to fix the problem supposing the problem is software related. So you should be expecting a software update soon to address the sound issues in your Google Pixel 3 and 3 XL devices. If the problem turns out to be a hardware related problem then you would have no choice than to ask for a replacement given that your warranty should still be active as it hasn’t been up to a year the smartphone launched.
