By surprise, not to say absurd, the truth is that Apple’s News service is not yet available in many other countries. In fact, it only remains available in the same three countries where it landed a few years ago, the United States, Australia, and the United Kingdom. To subscribe to the newsletter, the first thing is to have the News app on your iOS device. To do this, all you have to do is open the Settings app and follow the General → Language and region → Region route, and change your current region to the United States. Make sure you keep the current language. Then you can go to the home screen of your device and there you will see that the News app is ready to be used. Of course, keep in mind that the news appears in English.
Once you have the application on your iPhone or iPad, open it to start enjoying its contents. And to subscribe to the newsletter, follow the steps below:
- In the bottom menu, select “Spotlight”.
- Navigate to the bottom of the screen and click on “Sign up to get News in your inbox”, which appears in blue letters under the heading “EMAIL NEWSLETTER”.
- Confirm in the pop-up window by clicking on the “Sign Up” option
Ready! From this moment you will not only be able to enjoy the News app on your iPhone and iPad, but you will also receive a selection of the news that most interests you in your email. Of course, for this, you must use the app, mark news as favorites, etc., in order that the service “learn” your interests.
