If you pull off something amazing on your new Oculus Quest 2 (or Original Quest), then it’s a great idea to take a screenshot so you can share it with your friends. In this guide, we will show you how to take a screenshot on your Oculus VR headset.
How to Take a Screenshot on Oculus Quest Headset
It is incredibly easy to take a screenshot on an Oculus Quest, and it is very similar to taking a screenshot on a smartphone. All you need to do is hold down the Oculus button (which looks like an oval icon) on the right Quest Touch controller and then push the trigger on any of the controllers.
Once you have taken a screenshot, a screenshot sound, similar to the shutter of a camera that you’ve definitely heard on other devices, will be played. A notification will also be displayed, confirming that it has taken the screenshot.
Now, if you want an alternative method to take screenshots, we have one just for you, although it is more difficult.
To do this, go to the System menu by pushing the Oculus button on your right Touch controller. Next, go to the bottom taskbar and choose the Sharing tab.
Now, choose the Take Photo button. A small red dot will appear on the screen and blink for five seconds. After five seconds, the device will take a screenshot.
If you do not know how to view the screenshots that you’ve taken, you can do this by going to the Home menu and pushing the Oculus button on your controller. Now, choose the Sharing tab (like we did) to take a screenshot. However, instead of choosing the Take Photo option, we’ll select “View All.”
This page will allow you to view all the screenshots that you have taken.
That’s it!
