How to Take Screenshots On Nexus 6P

If you would like to take screenshots on Nexus 6P, then you should know that doing that is very easy. A Screenshot if you don’t already know is a way of capturing What’s on the screen of the device and have it saved to your gallery to be edited and/or shared to someone for reference. This is a very useful tool for showing people tutorials, problems, texts or funny stuffs you see on your phone. Lets say for example you were scrolling through Twitter and you saw a funny tweet and you would like to take that to let’s say your WhatsApp status.

All you have to do is just take a screenshot, Edit It(Crop out the part you want to use, add filters or Smiley’s or write something on top of the picture) then upload it as a picture to your WhatsApp status. First, you’ll have to take the Screenshot which isn’t as hard as you might think. All Android device with newer operating system all have the ability to take screenshots embedded in the OS and given that the Nexus 6P runs on Android 6.0 out of the box, you should be able to take screenshots without any third-party app.

How to Take Screenshots On Nexus 6P

The first and easiest way to take a screenshot on most Android phones is to swipe down the notification panel and click on the screenshot option. However, this method isn’t always idle as you might want to screenshot something like a friend’s WhatsApp status which doesn’t stay on-screen while you swipe down the notification panel. In this case, you’ll have to make use of the second method which is popularly seen as the standard way to take screenshots on most Android phones. To do that, simply follow the steps below.

  • Get Hold of your Nexus 6P device and Navigate to the page you would like to take a screenshot of.
  • Once you get there, Simultaneously press and hold the Power Button and Volume Down button on the side.

  • Hold the buttons for a few seconds till the screenshot is taken then release.

  • You can now go to your Gallery to see the screenshot then Edit from there.

If it refuses to take the Screenshot then you’re not doing it right and probably pressing Down one button before the other. I’ll recommend you try it a couple more time just to make sure and make sure you press both button at the same time and Don’t let go till you hear the click and screenshot taken.

Conclusion

That’s how to take screenshots on Nexus 6P. You can still download a third-party app from the google play store for this purpose though. Third-party apps that take screenshots have some extra features you might want and can’t do without but if you just wanna take screenshots and nothing more, then the inbuilt one is for you.
