How to Update Infinix Note 4 & Note 4 Pro to Android 8.0 Oreo

Infinix Mobility has finally rolled out the Android Oreo update to all Infinix Note 4 and Note 4 Pro just as promised. The update was announced a week ago. According to the information, the Infinix Note 4, Note 4 Pro and the Zero 5 has gotten the Android 8.0 (Oreo) update. However, Infinix Note 4 could not wait for the date to come before the rollout.

Many users have gone on to install the new update on their Infinix Note 4. Most of the reviews and feedback have been positive except a bug which occurs at first installation. It is most likely, however, that Infinix will soon roll out a new update to fix this issue.

How to Upgrade Infinix Note 4 and Note 4 pro to Android Oreo

Before you proceed to install the update on your device, there are a few things you need to put in place.

  • Make sure your device is not rooted else it will end up getting bricked.
  • Make sure to backup all data on your phone just in case there is a need for you to downgrade the update in case the new one does not work or bugs too.
  • You need 2 GB of free space on your device to download the update.

NOTE: The update is 1.8GB in size and gives users a more optimized camera and wallpaper display, better battery life, and home screen layout. New features include a new message notifications board, eye protection mode, updated one-hand mode, and picture-in-picture, to name a few.

  7. When I upgraded my infinix note 4 and infinix note 4 pro(because I have both phones)to oreo 8.1,every thing went on well. Both phones started with the XOS Humming bird and all are doing well .BUT the only problem I have with both phones is that, some pre installed applications such as X manager,X security,X account,X security and the finger print apps are missing. Why ////Apart from those missing applications, every other thing is moving on well. The phone charges as usual, the cameras are functioning well. Please try to Fix that as soon as possible and bring out a new update to correct this one.Urgently expecting a good result.Thanks.

  11. The update is working well. Only that I can’t find where to change the font style. Unlike before the update. I can only change the font size. Please correct all the complaints. Thanks.
