There aren’t many tools on the Android platform more useful than Google Assistant. If you want to really get the most out of the hands-free features that the service comes with, you will want to make sure that you can use it even when your Android device is locked. This would mean you don’t even have to pick your phone up at all.

Some of the features that come with Google Assistant are protected behind a lock screen. This includes features that need personal results, such as contacts, calendars, or reminders. The reason behind this is to prevent unauthorized access to the personal information you have saved on the phone through Assistant when you have locked your phone or tablet.

Now, if you have no concerns about this potential privacy issue, then you can let Google Assistant display personal results even when your phone is locked. This means that you can see and hear responses from Google Assistant without unlocking your phone or tablet. This guide will show you how to use Google Assistant on your Android phone without unlocking it.

How to Use Google Assistant on Your Android Device Without Unlocking It

First off, go to your Android device and launch the Google Assistant app. You can do this either by saying “Okay, Google” or by swiping in from the bottom left or right corner of the screen.

Now, make sure that you have enabled the “Lock Screen Personal Results.” Before you can enable this feature, you first need to enable “Personal Results.”

That’s pretty much all there is to it. Now, whenever you ask Google Assistant questions that require answers, including personal results, you wouldn’t have to unlock your phone’s screen first.
